An established rear extension to a victorian semi detached house in Belper, Derbyshire.
The brick match is fine from the rear as it covers the whole width of the property but the side elevation of the extension brickwork ruined the external appearance of the property so we colour matched both the brick and mortar in order to create a seamless brick match.
The extension brickwork had been started using a brickwork starter which leaves a solid vertical line of mortar which clearly shows the point of difference between the new and old brickwork.
Using brick repair techniques we rebonded the brickwork to create the illusion of continual brickwork, enabling the extension brickwork to blend seamlessly with the original.
